The Leather Man, Inc. began in June 1965, before Stonewall, on Christopher Street in New York City, when our founder, Chuck Mueller, decided to quit his day job to make leather clothing for himself and anyone else who might be interested. Most people thought he was insane at the time because “who would want to wear leather clothing besides Chuck?” Since then, we’ve come a long way.
Customers come from all over the world to shop with us, and we are still located on Christopher Street. Widely regarded as the best source for S/M-leather-fetish clothing and gear in New York City.
