You haven’t experienced a sauna until you’ve visited Dillon’s Russian Steam Bath. Dillon’s, a family-owned business, is the country’s oldest steam spa, having opened in 1885.

Dillons Russian Steam Bath is located on Chestnut Street at the junction of Williams Avenue, right off the Maurice Tobin Bridge’s first departure into Boston. Dillon’s background stems from the ancient traditional Shvitz, which has origins in Russia and Eastern Europe dating back over a century. Dillons is the oldest steam bath in the United States. Today, under Lisa Rizzo’s management, the Shvitz’s historical traditions are preserved, and new initiatives are constantly introduced, allowing Dillons to expand and prosper into the twenty-first century.
