Galeria Café, on Rua Farme de Amoedos, is Ipanema’s staple dance club that gets quite crowded on weekends with some of the finest looking lads in town, and is an excellent spot to meet new people for a talk and a drink or two.
Having a 20-year history, it has become a safe refuge for Rio de Janeiro’s LGBT population.
The gathering is quite varied, including homosexuals, lesbians, barbies, bears, trans, queens, and others. Beverages are reasonably priced, and the DJs are excellent.
