Kinsmen is an upstairs gay bar with a cozy, laid-back vibe. The crowd is diverse, and foreigners are welcome. A great place to unwind and meet new people. This spacious bar has been run by a jovial pair of guys who go by the unlikely names of Nori and Ebi since Christmas 2002, and has been a fixture on the anglophone gay scene for more than two decades (Seaweed and Shrimp). Aside from its famous, massive ikebana flower arrangements, there are scented candles, tiny cacti, antique-looking Western furniture, and a piano that is occasionally played. Men, women, and foreigners are all made to feel welcome in this relaxed environment.
