This tiny restaurant in the center of Rio features modern and friendly design set against the backdrop of a typical 19th-century home.
Take the steps from the street and you’ll notice the family atmosphere: the two cousin owners named the restaurant after their grandmother Lilia as an homage.
This stripped-down attractive environment, complete with brickwork, exposed beams, neon, and hanging lights, is enhanced by the warm rays of sunlight that shine through the wide windows. Monday through Saturday, and just for lunch, chef Lucio Vieira serves modern handmade food that is distinguished by inventive and flavorful seasonal ingredients meticulously sourced from local agroforestry-supportive farmers. His specialty is grilled meals and the usage of uncommon edible plants.
The cuisine is unique, featuring vegetarian options, and varies every day based on delivery. Grilled anchovies with sweet potatoes and roasted carrots, miso marinated veggies, and oregano-seasoned grilled chard.
