State of Grace is a coastal, South Texas neighborhood restaurant located in the newly renovated Lamar-River Oaks Shopping Center. Elegant but casual, executive chef Bobby Matos’ enhanced comfort food is delivered to perfection in a pleasant, gorgeous atmosphere. The joyous medley of traditional favorites is infused with new spice, accent, and freshness, lending itself to southern, American, Latin, Gulf Coast, German, and Asian influences. Chef-owner Ford Fry’s first endeavor outside of Atlanta, State of Grace, is located in the neighborhood where he grew up and pays homage to his childhood memories while also reflecting Houston’s growth into a melting pot of nationalities and cuisines.
