The oldest gay bar in New Orleans, located in the French Quarter among the city’s gay nightlife. The scantily clad men who spend their nights dancing on the bar are the main draw at the Corner Pocket.
During the day and early evening, The Corner Pocket is your typical neighborhood bar. Crowds flock to the club seven nights a week, beginning at 9 p.m., to see the newest dancin’ boys that the bar has cornered for its stable.
Every Friday night is New Meat Night, with all dancers competing for a $100 cash prize, hosted by Lisa Beaumann. Lisa Beaumann hosts the all-boy review on Saturdays. On Sundays, Barry Bareass hosts the Barry Bareass Dance Contest!
Additionally, TV sports are shown throughout the venue. Look out for the bar’s special event nights, including weekly bingo. A historic LGBT+ venue.
