Excuse the pun, but since 1949, this iconic dive has been the “hub” of Tampa’s drinking scene. While much has changed since the days when elegant clothing were worn and local judges were regulars, much has remained constant. The Hub, which is strictly for those over the age of 21, is known for its powerful mixed drinks and does not serve bottom shelf liquor.
They have a jukebox roster that would make Bob Seger proud, and live bands perform on a regular basis, mostly featuring local, independent acts. You never know who you’ll meet here, and practically everyone in Tampa has a tale about their visits to the Hub Bar.
