Since its 1991 debut, Village has established itself as one of Soho’s top gay bars. Entry is free, and entertainment options include DJs, camp karaoke, and scantily clad “gogo boy” dancers. This location is popular as a pre-club gathering spot.
It’s a terrific venue to experience the Soho feel, although crowded on Friday and Saturday nights.
Enter the basement club where you’ll discover the crème of London’s dance scene playing the greatest chunky funky deep house and tech. When you enter the “Cafe bar,” you’ll notice a more laid-back atmosphere with lots of seats and cozy booths. Additionally, go upstairs to the brand-new “Cocktail Lounge,” where you’ll discover a different bar with opulent booths, chandeliers, and a breathtaking view of all the activity directly up Old Compton Street.
