Watercourse Foods originally opened in 1998 on 13th Ave. in Capitol Hill as a small vegetarian cafe. The name Watercourse comes from the philosophy of the “water course way” which in essence means to take the path of least harm.
Watercourse is more than just a restaurant; we look for ways to help those we care about and to elevate the voices that make our city great. What we serve and how we serve it to everyone who comes to eat with us is our sincere passion.
We are a scratch kitchen that prioritizes local vendors, sustainable business practices, and giving more than we take.
We have a diverse menu that accommodates different dietary needs, and we foster an inclusive environment.
Our food has no artificial colors, preservatives, flavors, or hydrogenated fats. We use fresh products to prepare food for our community. We are both a local hangout and a global tourist destination.
